Babia is part of a group of family owned companies of ice manufacturing and distributing since 1929 in México.
Babia was founded in 2010 with the vision of providing the icing service for local growers of broccoli.
The Reed family quickly began to see the rapidly growing business of produce exports to the U.S. and in 2013 Babia Ice & Produce LLC began operations in the U.S. Importing fresh broccoli from México.
Our vision required controlling the entire process from field, to packing, to shipping and distributing.
Now, with several fields in the north of the state of Guanajuato, some in the Bajio region, and the 2 processing facilities, Babia is vertically integrated from field to table in the US and it is carried all out by the Reed family and the Babia team.
With the rich, fertile soil and mild year round climate in the region of Guanajuato. Babia has a competitive advantage over other growing regions, providing premium quality produce all year round.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the remarkable efforts of the Babia employees.
